Journey to Your Heart

Journey to Your Heart

Chorus: I’m on a journey to your heart girl no matter what it takes I will get there for you. To get to your heart I would walk through snow, sleet, the bitter cold, the pouring rain, the blazing heat or all of them together. Girl I see the finish line up ahead but every time I get close I get sent to back square one. Tell me what I gotta do, tell me what I gotta say, the road to take, what I can do to get to your heart girl.

Verse 1: Girl I would the ends of earth to get your heart. I would walk a thousand miles to get there. Girl I love you I really want to get your heart so we can be together. No matter what weather or time I will try to get there.
Verse 2: Girl I’m usually bad on when to reach out when I’m on that road either I sprint it or take it slow and in the end it never works. Girl please give me a sign on this road to help me understand when I should because I love you too much and I don’t want to mess things up.

Verse 3: Girl you’re the 1st price but I don’t know if I should race for you and rush things to early. Because I want you but I don’t know the best way on this journey to your heart. I don’t know what to do without girl I need you or I couldn’t live without you girl.

Verse 4: Anything you need girl I will go to get to the finish line, your heart. I will even fight off any guys whose mean or a jerk to you even if it means me dying from it because I will do anything to get your heart.

Verse 5: I hope you now know that I will do whatever it takes to get your heart girl. I hope my journey to your heart ends with love. Cuz, girl I love you so much girl it’s not even funny. I don’t care what your “friends” say about me or us cuz I all I see at the end this journey to your heart is you and I together.

Coda: I know you already know this but baby your heaven and my angel my everything. I love you so much I will be the best boyfriend ever girl anything to please you girl because that’s all that matters.

(repeat till end 2X)

Forbidden Love: I Love You Girl

Forbidden Love: I Love You Girl
Verse 1: Ever since I first met I knew there was something between us, and when I saw you when I was with someone I shouldn’t have been and that was a mistake I was amazed by your beauty and the way you acted towards me.

Verse 2: Every time I see you I freeze and get nervous. I don’t know what to say or do when I’m around you girl. If I say good things about or complement you I get haggled, but if I don’t I’m just lying to myself and then you think I think your ugly wish isn’t true at all.

Chorus: My love for you is, Forbidden Love girl. If I say I love you I lose friends and people hate me but if I don’t it just eats me up inside and my mind and heart both are telling me I’m stupid if I don’t. I love you girl but I don’t know what to do because it’s considered Forbidden Love. I'm in delusion every minute every hour, my heart is crying out for you. I love you girl.

Verse 3: I spend my time thinking about you and how amazing you are. I don’t know why I wasted time thinking about a few other girls when you were around. Because my life has been meaningless before I met you I’ve been incomplete without you. My life will be incomplete without you in it.
Verse 4: I would go anywhere for you and I’ll give all I have to go which is never ending love girl. I don’t have a fancy car but to get to you I’d walk a 1000 miles. These are the things I would do for you.

Verse 5: “When you talk, does it seem like he's not even listening to a word you say? That's okay babe, just tell me your problems, I'll try my best to kiss them all away. Does he leave when you need him the most? Does his friends get all your time? Baby please I'm on my knees praying for the day that you'll be mine!” Like BSB says.

Verse 6: “I'd walk halfway around the world for just one kiss from you far beyond the call of love, the sun, the stars, the moon, as long as your love's there to lead me I won't lose my way, believe me, even through the darkest night you know.” Like BSB says too.

Verse 7: Darlin’ I’d never break your heart. I think you’re the one for me, you’re my ecstasy, and you’re the one I need. I feel that I’m in heaven every time I see you or look into your eyes girl. I’m always helpless when you smile girl.

Verse 8: I wish I could go up to you and say that I love you so much that I hurts when I don’t say it. But I can’t cuz I’m told it’s wrong, forbidden you can say but I see you with someone who might make you happy so I’m just gonna have to wait my turn for you girl.

Coda: I’m never going to get why you like in the first place because I’m short not smart in school and not on a sports team while you are tall good in school and on a sports team. You’re perfect in every way when I’m not but girl I love you so much I just can’t say them to you in person cuz I’m afraid of the consequences, it’s just killing me inside that I love you when girl…

Coda 2: I would even fight your boyfriend to be with you girl, I love so much girl I want you right now. I want a chance to prove that I love you girl. I’m not one of those players of love who think it’s a game because it’s not it’s true love girl I’d rather die than live without you girl I would never do anything to make you cry or hurt I’m only here to please the best the girl that has come into my life I love girl hope you love me back.

(Repeat until fade) (in quiet ”girl I love you even though it’s forbidden love”)

Who’s Here to Save the Day/Game?

Who’s Here to Save the Day/Game?

There is always the question about who to call on to save the game in baseball which is the closer’s job. It has only been a real stat kept since 1969 really you would have your starters and who eve wasn’t a starter was a reliever to come in after. For the White Sox it usually hasn’t been a real problem since the closer came to be.

They had the likes of Bobby Thigpen, the former record holder of most saves in a year, and hall of famer Hoyt Wilhelm and Goose Gossege and greats like Wilbur Wood, Bob Locker, and Keith Foulke. Also, early Sox players like Ed Walsh and Ted Lyons are
counted among them.

The Sox for the past five years had a stable most of the time in closer Bobby Jenks, the current leader in White Sox for saves. He came on the scene as a rookie acquired on waivers. In 2005 down the stretch he was inserted as the closer for the pennant race. The Sox went on to win the world series and he was a huge part of the team being an all star closer capable of 40 saves a season.

Going into spring training 2011, there were many questions for the team but one question is who will be the closer? Since Bobby Jenks left through free agency to the Boston Red Sox to setup for their closer. There are three options to the closer problem really; last year’s all star setup man Matt Thornton and rookie star Chris Sale and free agent signing Jesse Crain. The simple solution is to go with the man with the most saves and experience in the 9th inning. That guy is Matt Thornton who has the most saves and experience out of the three.

Jesse Crain is the former setup man for years for the Twins. But he really doesn’t have the closer experience needed and that’s why he’s best suited as the setup man. On the other hand, Matt Thornton has been a setup man most of his career after not making it as a starter with the Mariners. But he is an all star and has more saves out of the three. Chris Sale was drafted the same season as he was called up. He was a starter in college but they decided for him to be a reliever so he could make it up quickly and he did pitching down the stretch for a playoff contender.

For Sale the Sox want him to be the future lefty ace not the closer. So to waste him going back and forth between closer and fill in starter just to keep him in the bullpen as a lefty setup man. So in conclusion the White Sox closer should be Matt Thornton based on experience and the numbers and what is best for the White Sox.

Who’s out in Center?

Who’s out in Center?

You know that old joke who’s on first, and who’s on second and so on? It is a classic baseball joke we can laugh at but, the next question I have is no laughing matter. My question is who’s out in centerfield for the Marlins next season? The Marlins, as people know, don’t follow the normal protocol for running a baseball team, so if you heard who is going to play in centerfield for them you would scratch your head.

The answer, boys and girls, is Chris Coghlan. If you don’t know who he is I’ll tell you: Chris is a natural born third basemen and playing second base also. You might also know he is a the spunky rookie for the Marlins in 2009 when he won the rookie of year coming up to play leftfield because both positions were occupied. He is also known as the jokester and prankster as you saw he hurt his knee on a pie celebration which sidelined him during his second year.

So lets backtrack and let me give you some history and insight as to how they run things. The Marlins, owners of two World Series rings, were an expansion team in 1993 and they are known as a low cost team. They won in 1997 and then went into rebuilding mode as they did in 2003. So for a guy like Coghlan, you would think, as an infielder he wouldn’t have to wait because they way trade guys at their highest value and get prospects back that he would get his shot to play his natural position. But you thought wrong.

They did trade Jorge Cantu, their third basemen/first basemen, during the trade deadline and Dan Uggla this off season but didn’t get anything worth for now to be a starting centerfielder. You might say they were dumb to trade Cameron Maybin, their only CF, for more relief pitchers when the free agent market had more centerfielders. There were only 2-3 options out there and they didn’t look at them. They said Coghlan is our centerfielder and first baseman, Logan Morrison, is their leftfielder to be with rookie star from last year Mike Stanton, in right field. They are also going with a rookie at third base and a utility player at second base.

My opinion now is that you traded your centerfielder for bullpen help, you play Emilio Bonifacio another infielder who you hardly play even though you made an opening at second/third play him in centerfield because of speed and ability to play it over Coghlan. Put even Omar Infante in the outfield because he has more experience and is a defensive wiz. Also if Gaby Sanchez was arrogant in saying I’d rather play first base over third base because it’s easier, and he since he had such a great full rookie season that he can be choosy. So if he were a team player he would be at third base and Morrison would be at first base instead of an unknown rookie at third base and a first basemen in leftfield.

The outfield, because of this, is not great defensively. You also have unknowns in centerfield and other positions. They have a great young staff and bullpen but again their defense is and will always be a problem even after the trades they made. In the end, they will be a team that hovers around a .500 record with the Phillies being the best and Braves not too far off while the Nationals will give some fight. The team will still be lead by the leaders, Hanley Ramirez, the shortstop, and the Ace, Josh Johnson and Rookie star, Mike Stanton, in right. But the question still remains who’s out in center for the Marlins?????

How Desperate the Angels Were

                                           How Desperate the Angels Were:

Going into the off season the Angels were looking to improve on a third place finish since they usually finish at the top of the division and make the playoffs. There were many rumors on the Angels looking to sign a 3B and impact Of. Those two players that they were specifically were coveting were all star and gold glover winners
Adrian Beltre and Carl Crawford.

This off season has had many surprises that included head shaking trades and  mind boggling signings by many teams. The biggest surprise was Cliff Lee the best pitcher on the market going back to the Phillies. The next surprise was the Rangers signing Adrian Beltre to play 3B for them when they already had one and one who has been moved to different positions twice before; which was a blow to the Angels.

The next blow to the Angles was that it was reported that they were close to a deal with Carl Crawford to play LF for them. Making current outfielders Bobby Abreu and Juan Rivera DH and  making their outfield defensively better and clogged. But as you know already that the Red Sox swooped in and signed him from right under thier nose.
Midway through last year’s season closer to the end, the Angels called up one of their outfield prospects name Peter Bourjos. He was coveted a Gold Glove caliber centerfielder who had the potential to lead off someday and be a good average hitter as well.
With the domino effect of Beltre and Crawford the Angels felt for some reason that a lineup with Bourjos and Callaspo and Mathis some days at the end did not seem to make them think great offensively. Even though they had high praise for Bourjos and  they decided to moved a 9 time gold glove winner from CF to RF and a gold glove RF to LF/DH and made the statement that Bourjos was their CF.
So last week the Angels pressed to make a big splash because they missed out besides for overpaying  setup man, Scott Downs. They decided since they have OF and catching depth, traded veteran OF Juan Rivera who would have DHed and played some outfield. Also, being traded along side Rivera, was their starting catcher and best hitter on the team last season Mike Napoli who even played some games at first base and DH. The two were sent to the Blue Jays for CF Vernon Wells a three time gold glove winner and a very productive hitter being the Blue Jays franchise player twelve years.

Wells, who has a massive deal worth millions, is still going to be paid for two more years, he is also, at age 32, usually the age of which a player starts to declined gradually. With those two things in mind the Angels still made the trade. Which many people believe was a desperate move to make a splash and improve their team. Instead of trading for him they could have used that money to fix their bullpen who has only really two reliable and nameable players, incumbent closer Fernando Rodney and Scott Downs whom they did sign this off season. They also could have had a signed a DH who can play the field specifically at 3B, if they weren’t sure of Bourjos hitting wise, you move the outfielders back to their natural positions or have Napoli DH because of his defense or Rivera DH and have Reggie Willits fight him for the other outfield job also.

So in the end the Angels will be on the hook for over the hill outfielder instead of fixing their bullpen and even getting depth for that iffy rotation that has injury prone starters. Also that money will not be used to sign any current player on the team who is arbitration eligible coming up or a productive DH to compete with the other teams. After a week after a series of moves the Rangers an Angels rival acquired the Angels former catcher Mike Napoli to bolster their lineup and now can  harass the Angels much more than if he was in Toronto. Great move I say, just kidding. This season will be tough enough for the Angels but we have to admit they were desperate to the fans they are trying to compete with the Rangers and A’s.
