NFL Recap Week 18 2022:

 


Chiefs 31-13 over the Raiders: QB Patrick Mahomes had one passing TD and three rushing TDs from his skill players in RBs Ronald Jones, Isaiah Pacheco and WR Kadarius Toney. Backup QB Jarrett Stidham had two fumbles and an interception.

Jaguars 20-16 over the Titans: The Jaguars were down 13-7 entering halftime but then the Titans collapsed like they have all season as third string QB Josh Dobbs threw an interception and fumbled the ball twice with one leading to the go ahead TD for Jacksonville.

Falcons 30-17 over the Buccaneers: Rookie QB Desmond Ridder finally threw a TD pass this season well actually two and RB Cordarrelle Patterson had a rushing TD. While Tampa Bay was wasn’t trying as they took their starters out early after an early TD pass by QB Tom Brady.

Bills 35-23 over the Patriots: Both QBs (Josh Allen & Mac Jones) had three passing TDs but Jones had three interceptions. RB Nyheim Hines had a kickoff return TD to start the game for Buffalo and Damar Hamlin, and then did it again later.

Vikings 29-13 over the Bears: Backup RB Alexander Mattison had two rushing TDs and QB Kirk Cousins had one TD pass before the starters were taken out to rest for the playoffs. While the Bears were trying to lose to secure the 1st pick in the draft which is what they got as both QBS (4th & 5th string) had three total interceptions.

Bengals 27-16 over the Ravens: The Ravens weren’t even trying as they started their 3rd string QB Anthony Brown (two interceptions) who had a fumble that was returned for a TD, no TE Mark Andrews or RB JK Dobbins. QB Joe Burrow and RB Joe Mixon had TDs for the Bengals.

Texans 32-31 over the Colts: Both QBs (Sam Ehlinger & Davis Mills) had two interceptions that were returned for TDs while Mills had three passing TDs.

Dolphins 11-6 over the Jets: QB Joe Flacco VS. 3rd string QB Skylar Thompson equals no TDs in the game just field goals as the major difference was a fumble in the end zone that went out of bounds for a safety that led to Miami winning.

Panthers 10-7 over the Saints: The Saints missed a few field goals and the Panthers hit the game winning field goal.

Steelers 28-14 over the Browns: The Browns were up 7-0 in the 2nd quarter but that would be the last time they led as QB Kenny Pickett had a TD pass, RB Najee Harris and FB Derek Watt had rushing TDs.  QB Deshaun Watson had two interceptions to cancel out his two TD passes.

Eagles 22-16 over the Giants: Jake Elliott was the MVP of the game for the Eagles as he accounted for 16 of their 22 points as QB Jalen Hurts returned so not to be rusty for the playoffs. 3rd string QB Davis Webb had a rushing and a passing TD for the Giants as they rested their starters.

Commanders 26-6 over the Cowboys: The Cowboys even with their starters were embarrassed by their divisional rival Washington as QB Dak Prescott had an interception which was returned for a TD, his team had two fumbles and the kicker missed an extra point. Rookie QB Sam Howell had one passing TD and a rushing TD. Even their kicker wasn’t good as he missed two field goals and an extra point.

Broncos 31-28 over Chargers: QB Russell Wilson finally showed up with three passing TDs and RB Latavius Murray had a rushing TD. QB Justin Herbert did have two passing TDs but didn’t have anything to play for as their playoff spot was already decided so they rested their starters and let up.

Seahawks 19-16 over the Rams(OT): The Seahawks tied the game in the 4th quarter but the missed the game winning field goal at the end of the 4th quarter but redeemed themselves by hitting the game winning one in overtime.

49ers 38-13 over the Cardinals: QB Brock Purdy had three passing TDs and in the return of RB Elijah Mitchell had two rushing TDs. While the Cardinals backup QBs combined for three interceptions and a fumble plus their kicker missed an extra point.

Lions 20-16 over the Packers: The Lions completed the comeback with a rushing TD by Jamaal Williams his second and then the defense picked off QB Aaron Rodgers to end the Packers chance for the playoffs.

NFL Recap Week 17 2022:

 

Cowboys 27-13 over the Titans: QB Dak Prescott had two TD passes and RB Eziekiel Elliot had a rushing TD while the Titans were missing most of their players including RB Derrick Henry. Tennessee turned to QB Josh Dobbs who they just picked up a few days prior.

Falcons 20-19 over the Cardinals: The Cardinals started their 4th QB of the season so their offense looked inept and were without WR DeAndre Hopkins too. While Atlanta’s rookie QB Desmond Ridder did nothing but his RBs each had a rushing TDs plus they blocked a punt. They won a game winning field goal as time expired.

Lions 41-10 over the Bears: The Bears were leading 10-7 early but that would be the last time as their defense got torched by QB Jared Goff who had three passing TDs and both RBs had a rushing TD.

Jaguars 31-3 over the Texans: There were no passing TDs from Jacksonville QBs as all of their TDs came for their RBs and their defense recovered a fumble for a TD.

Chiefs 27-24 over the Broncos: QB Patrick Mahomes had three passing TDs and RB Isaiah Pacheco had a rushing TD. QB Russell Wilson had a rebound game with a passing TD and two rushing TDs but had a fumble and an interception.

Patriots 23-21 over the Dolphins: QB Mac Jones had a two passing TDs with no turnovers while both Miami QBs had a TD pass but also an interception plus their kicker missed a field goal. S Kyle Dugger had one of those interceptions and returned it for a TD his 3rd def. TD of season the 1st Patriot to do that since 1970. Their 7th defensive TD of season a new franchise record and a defensive TD in 4 straight games, new franchise record (first NFL occurrence since TB 2002).

Giants 38-10 over the Colts: The Colts were leading early but the Giants had a huge second quarter with two offensive TDs and an interception returned for a TD. It was all QB Daniel Jones who had two passing TDs and two rushing TDs. The Colts also missed a field goal.

Saints 20-10 over the Eagles: QB Gardner Minshew had two fumbles and threw an interception that was returned for a TD to seal the game. There were 12 punts in this game and the only offensive TD for the Saints was TE Taysom Hill having a rushing TD.

Buccaneers 30-24 over the Panthers: QB Sam Darnold did his best with three passing TDs but had an interception and two of his team’s six fumbles. QB Tom Brady had three passing TDs and a rushing TD.

Browns 24-10 over the Commanders: QB Deshaun Watson had a good game with three passing TDs with no turnovers while QB Carson Wentz had zero TD passes with three interceptions.

49ers 37-34 over the Raiders(OT): After an interception in overtime Robbie Gould hit the game winning field goal for the 49ers. In a surprising turn of events with QB Derek Carr who was benched his backup Jarrett Stidham had three passing TDs(two interceptions), and RB Josh Jacobs had a rushing TD. QB Brock Purdy had two passing TDs and got two rushing TDs one from Christian McCaffrey.

Seahawks 23-6 over the Jets: In the QB Geno Smith bowl he showed his former team with two passing TDs and no interceptions. QB Mike White has zero TD passes, two interceptions and the kicker missed a field goal.

Packers 41-17 over the Vikings: The Packers special teams had a kick return TD, their defense picked off QB Kirk Cousins three times with one being returned for a TD, forced three fumbles. QB Aaron Rodgers had one passing and rushing TD plus RB AJ Dillon had a rushing too. The Vikings also missed two field goals.

Chargers 31-10 over the Rams: QB Justin Herbert had two passing TDs and RB Austin Ekeler had two rushing TDs. QB Baker Mayfield had no passing TDs with a fumble and RB Malcom Brown who came back to the team this season had their only TD.

Steelers 16-13 over the Ravens: QB Kenny Pickett led his team from behind to throw a game winning TD pass to RB Najee Harris with less than a minute left, while QB Tyler Huntley threw an interception on the next possession to end the game.

NFL Recap Week 16 2022:

 

Jaguars 19-3 over the Jets: Zach Wilson was so terrible they benched him in the third quarter for 4th string QB Chris Streveler. QB Trevor Lawrence had one rushing TD for the Jaguars.

Ravens 17-9 over the FalconsIn the battle of the birds one backup QB outplayed the other as QB Tyler Huntley had one passing TD compared to rookie QB Desmond Ridder.

Panthers 37-23 over the Lions: The Lions have been so good on offense on their win streak it was inevitable that they would put up points but since their defense has been so bad they would give up more. The Panthers ran all over them with 320 yards of rushing and three rushing TDs, plus Sam Darnold had a passing TD with one of those three team rushing TDs. QB Jared Goff had three passing TDs.

Bills 35-13 over the Bears: QB Josh Allen had two passing TDs with a rushing TD and both of his RBs had rushing TDs. QB Justin Fields only had one passing TD but it was way too much to overcome and backup QB Nathan Peterman threw an interception.

Saints 17-10 over the Browns: The Saints won it on the ground because QB Andy Dalton was inept with no passing TDs and an interception. RB Alvin Kamara and TE Taysom Hill had rushing TDs. Cleveland got no passing TDs, an interception from QB Deshaun Watson but he did have a rushing TD.

Chiefs 24-10 over the Seahawks: QB Patrick Mahomes had two passing TDs with a rushing TD, while QB Geno Smith had only one passing TDs with an interception.

Vikings 27-24 over the Giants: Vikings won a game winning field goal as time expired. QB Kirk Cousins had three passing TDs and one to WR Justin Jefferson who broke Randy Moss’s single season record for receiving yards, and the other two went to TE TJ Hockenson. QB Daniel Jones had an interception and a fumble but one passing TD plus RB Saquon Barkley had one rushing TD.

Bengals 22-18 over the Patriots: The Bengals were up 22-0 entering halftime and held on despite a second half comeback attempt from QB Mac Jones who had two passing TDs. QB Joe Burrow had three passing TDs but two interceptions with one being returned for a TD.

Texans 19-14 over the Titans: With QB Ryan Tannehill out for the season essentially they turned the reins over to rookie QB Malik Willis who had zero passing TDs with two interceptions. If it weren’t for RB Derrick Henry being his usual self with 126 yards rushing with a rushing TD it would have been worse. The Texans got lucky that when QB Davis Mills fumbled the ball his team recovered it for a TD because he was uneven with a passing TD but had an interception was well.

49ers 37-20 over the Commanders: Rookie QB Brock Purdy outplayed both QBs for Washington as he had two passing TDs and had two team rushing TDs as well. QB Carson Wentz even played for Washington in spite of QB Tyler Henicke having two passing TDs but he had an interception and a fumble.

Cowboys 40-34 over the Eagles: Dallas won because they hit two field goals late as their divisional rivals fumbled the ball away. QB Dak Prescott had three passing TDs with one interception (that was returned for a TD) and RB Eziekeil Elliot had a rushing TD. QB Gardner Minshew in place of injured Jalen Hurts had two passing TDs with a rushing TD but two interceptions.

Steelers 13-10 over the Raiders: Las Vegas was up 10-3 entering halftime and QB Kenny Pickett led his team to a comeback win with a passing TD. They were down to two missed field goals and an interception. QB Derek Carr blew the lead due his own interceptions (3 of them).

Packers 26-20 over Dolphins: QB Tua Tagovailoa threw three interceptions including one that ended the game for his team and had two fumbles plus their kicker missed a field goal. QB Aaron Rodgers had one TD pass and RB AJ Dillon had a rushing TD.

Rams 51-14 over the BroncosRB Cam Akers woke up with three rushing TDs for 118 yards and QB Baker Mayfield had two passing TDs for the Rams. QB Russell Wilson came back but had three interceptions and his backup had an interception too which was returned for a TD.

Buccaneers 19-16 over the Cardinals (OT): The Buccaneers hit the game winning field goal in overtime. QB Tom Brady had one passing TD for Tampa Bay and RB James Connor had the Cardinals only TD. Brady had two interceptions and QB Trace McSorley had one interception with two fumbles.

Chargers 20-3 over the Colts: The Chargers defense picked off QB Nick Foles three times and held that offense to only a field goal. RB Austin Ekeler had two rushing TDs for the Chargers.

NFL Recap Week 15 2022:

 

49ers 21-13 over the Seahawks: QB Brock Purdy outplayed QB Geno Smith two (both went to TE George Kittle) to one TD pass and RB Christian McCaffrey had a rushing TD.

Vikings 39-36 over the Colts (OT): The Vikings completed the largest comeback in NFL history overcoming a 33 point halftime deficit.  QB Kirk Cousins had four TD passes and RB FB CJ Ham had a rushing TD.  They won in overtime on a field goal to seal it and had a fumble recovery TD in regulation. The Colts had an interception returned for a TD and blocked a punt which they also returned for a TD.

Browns 13-3 over the Ravens: The Ravens as a team had three fumbles, an interception and somehow the best kicker in the league missed two field goals. Cleveland did also miss two field goals but QB Deshaun Watson showed up and threw one TD pass.

Bills 32-29 over the Dolphins: QB Josh Allen out played QB Tua Tagovailoa with four TDs compared to two. The Bills kicked the game winning field goal as time expired.

Saints 21-18 over the Falcons: Between QB Andy Dalton and TE Taysom Hill threw for a combined three TD passes, while in his debut rookie QB Desmond Ridder only threw for 97 yards with no TD passes.

Steelers 24-16 over Panthers: QB Mitchell Trubisky had zero TD passes but between him and both of his RBs they had three rushing TDs. QB Sam Darnold only had one TD pass.

Eagles 25-10 over the Bears: QB Jalen Hurts had zero passing TDs but had three rushing TDs (two point conversion), while QB Justin Fields had two passing TDs. RB David Montgomery caught one of those TD passes and a rushing TD but the Bears kicker missed an extra point. Fields set the franchise record for single season rushing yards by a QB.

Chiefs 30-24 over the Texans (OT): The Texans fumbled the ball in overtime and RB Jerrick McKinnon scored the game winning TD. He also caught a TD pass one of the two QB Patrick Mahomes threw plus a rushing TD. QB Davis Mills actually held his own with two passing TDs and a rushing TD but he had that fumble.

Jaguars 40-34 over the Cowboys (OT): QB Dak Prescott had three passing TDs but threw two interceptions with one being the dagger as it was returned for a TD to end the game in overtime. QB Trevor Lawrence had four TD passes.

Lions 20-17 over the Jets: The Lions led early and never looked back as Jets QB Zach Wilson did his best with two TD’s with one late but their kicker missed a potential game tying field goal as time expired. The Lions got a punt return TD and one passing TD from QB Jared Goff.

Broncos 24-15 over the Cardinals: In a battle of backup QBs it was all on the RBs as veterans Marlon Mack and Latavius Murray (130 yards) both had rushing TDs for Denver while RB James Connor had one rushing TD. Cardinals QBs had three interceptions combined while Denver’s backup QB Brett Rypien had an interception too but one passing TD.

Raiders 30-24 over the Patriots: QB Derek Carr had three TD passes and the Raiders had a lead early but never looked back despite a strong effort from the Patriots. RB Rhamondre Stevenson had 172 yards rushing with a rushing TD and picked off Carr once which was returned for a TD. The Raiders got another TD in the end on a fumble recovery being returned for a TD.

Chargers 17-14 over the Titans: If it weren’t for the Chargers RBs getting two rushing TDs this game would have gone different as QB Justin Herbert had a bad game of zero passing TDs with two interceptions. RB Derrick Henry was his usual self for Tennessee with over 100 yards rushing with a TD but both QBS that suited up had zero passing TDs and one interception. Chargers won the game on a game winning field goal but the Titans missed a field goal earlier.

Bengals 34-23 over the Buccaneers: QB Joe Burrow out played QB Tom Brady as he had four passing TDs with one interception compared to Brady having three passing TDs but with two fumbles and two interceptions. Tampa Bay also missed a field goal.

Giants 20-12 over the Commanders: The Giants only trailed early and after that they never looked back. Their defense forced four fumbles with one being returned for a TD and RB Saquon Barkley had a rushing TD. Washington also missed an extra point.

Packers 24-12 over the Rams: It was all RB AJ Dillon who had two rushing TDs for the Packers as both QBs had one TD pass with an interception. The Rams kicker also missed an extra point.

NFL Recap Week 14 2022:

 

Rams 17-16 over the Raiders: QB Baker Mayfield threw a game winning 98 yard TD pass with ten seconds left to win the game for a team he just joined the other day. He is the first QB in the SB era to lead a 13+ point comeback win in his debut with two different teams. QB Derek Carr had zero TD passes with two interceptions and RB Josh Jacobs had their only TD.

Bills 20-12 over the Jets: 14 punts, a safety, and three fumbles, plus a QB playing with broken ribs who left the game three times before finally going to the hospital when the game ended. That QB was Mike White but the story again was it was all QB Josh Allen who had a passing and a rushing TD.

Bengals 23-10 over the Browns: QB Joe Burrow outplayed his divisional rival QB Deshaun Watson with two passing TDs to one. RB Semaje Perine scored another rushing TD for the Bengals.

Cowboys 27-23 over the Texans: Both Dallas RBs Tony Pollard(plus he caught a TD pass) and Eziekiell Elliot had rushing TDs in support of QB Dak Prescott who didn’t play well as he had two interceptions. Houston played two QBs and got only one TD pass from them combined.

Lions 34-23 over the Vikings: QB Jared Goff outplayed QB Kirk Cousins three TD passes to two.

Eagles 48-22 over the Giants: QB Jalen Hurts had two passing TDs, a rushing TD, RB Miles Sanders had two rushing TDs, and RB Boston Scott had one too. QB Daniel Jones did his best to keep up with the Eagles with a passing and a rushing TD but it wasn’t enough (his backup Tyord Taylor did throw a TD pass too.)

Ravens 16-14 over the Steelers:  No QB Lamar Jackson and QB Tyler Huntley who left the game with an injury forcing them to using a QB most people never heard of in Anthony Brown. Steelers also lost their QB Kenny Pickett to injury needing QB Mitchell Trubisky to play who threw three interceptions. Someone had to win this game and the Ravens just held on to their lead for the whole game. Steelers also missed a field goal.

Jaguars 36-22 over the Titans: It was all QB Trevor Lawrence who had three passing TDs and a rushing TD plus no turnovers.  QB Ryan Tannehill had two TD passes but had a fumble, an interception, and RB Derrick Henry had a rushing TD but with two fumbles.

Chiefs 34-28 over the Broncos: QB Patrick Mahomes did have three TD passes (two of those went to RB Jerrick McKinnon) but also threw three interceptions.  QB Russell Wilson also had three TD passes too but he left the game with an injury and threw an interception that was returned for a TD. His backup also threw an interception to end the game.

Panthers 30-24 over the Seahawks: The former Jets QB matchup saw the Panthers being up 20-14 entering half time and them holding on to pull off the upset. QB Sam Darnold had the only passing TD but had two rushing TDs from his stable of RBs. QB Geno Smith had three passing TDs but threw two interceptions.

49ers 35-7 over the Buccaneers: QB Brock Purdy in his 1st start ever had two passing TDs, a rushing TD, WR Debo Samuel had a rushing TD, and RB Christian McCaffrey had a rushing TD too(he also caught one of the passing TDs). QB Tom Brady had two interceptions.

Chargers 23-17 over the Dolphins: The Chargers went up 17-0 and never looked back as QB Justin Herbert outplayed his fellow draft mate Tua Tagovailia. They both had one TD pass but the Chargers offense outgained the Dolphins offense by almost two hundred yards.

Patriots 27-13 over the Cardinals: The Patriots defense forced a fumble, which was returned for a TD, sacked the QB six times and picked off QB Colt McCoy who came in to replace injured Kyler Murray. New England had two rushing TDs from their 3rd & 4th string RBs.

NFL Recap Week 13 2022:

 

Bills 24-10 over the Patriots: It was all Bills as QB Josh Allen had two passing TDs and RB Devin Singletary had a rushing TD. Patriots missed a field goal and QB Mac Jones looked frustrated with his offensive coaches in this game with one TD pass only which went to a CB.

Steelers 19-16 over the Falcons: This was a field goal game with 7 field goals and it was a battle as to who was better QB Marcus Mariota or rookie QB Kenny Pickett. They both had one TD pass, but the former had an interception to end the game.

Ravens 10-9 over the BroncosQB Tyler Huntley came in relief of an injured QB Lamar Jackson and outplayed QB Russell Wilson whose offense looked inept. Huntley scored the go ahead TD and then Denver missed a field goal to end the game.

Packers 28-19 over the Bears: QB Aaron Rodgers had a passing TD, RB AJ Dillon had a rushing TD and WR Christian Watson had a rushing TD plus caught that TD pass. QB Justin Fields had a56 yard rushing touchdown and 254 yards passing but had two interceptions with no passing TDs.  WR Chase Claypool had a fumble, plus their kicker missed a field goal and an extra point.

Lions 40-14 over the Jaguars: QB Jared Goff had two passing TDs both caught by Amron St Brown, both RBs Jamaal Williams and D’Andre Swift had rushing TDs. Kicker Mike Badgley accounted for 14 of their points. QB Trevor Lawrence only had one TD pass.

Browns 27-14 over the TexansIn Deshaun Watson’s debut he had no TD passes with an interception as his WR Donovan People Jones had a punt return TD. Their defense recovered a fumble (three forced fumbles) for a TD and returned an interception(two interceptions) for a TD too. His offense even got sacked in the end zone for a safety too.

Vikings 27-22 over the Jets: Both Vikings RBs Alexander Mattison and Dalvin Cook had rushing TDs, plus QB Kirk Cousins had a TD pass to WR Justin Jefferson as always. QB Mike White fell back down to earth with zero passing TDs and only got a rushing TD in garbage time. Kicker Greg Zuerlein accounted for 16 of their points.

Giants 20-20 tie with the Commanders (OT): The Giants missed a field goal as time expired in overtime and Washington missed a field goal too. QB Tyler Heincke had two passing TDs and QB Daniel Jones had a passing TD, and Saquon Barkley had a rushing TD.

Eagles 35-10 over the Titans: QB Jalen Hurts had three passing TDs, a rushing TD, and RB Miles Sanders had a rushing TD. While their defense held RB Derrick Henry to 30 yards rushing and QB Ryan Tannehill to one TD pass.

Seahawks 27-23 over the Rams: QB Geno Smith had three TD passes while QB John Wolford had zero TD passes with two interceptions. RB Cam Akers had two rushing TDs for the Rams.

49ers 33-17 over the Dolphins: In spite of QB Jimmy Garoppolo leaving the game with an injury and will miss the rest of the season the Dolphins lost to a 3rd string QB. QB Tua Tagovailoa had two interceptions and his backup also had an interception.

Bengals 27-24 over the Chiefs: It was all QB Joe Burrow who had two passing TDs and a rushing TD, while RB Samje Perine had over 100 yards rushing. QB Patrick Mahomes had one TD pass and a rushing TD but his kicker missed a field goal.

Raiders 27-20 over the Chargers: QB Derek Carr had two passing TDs both to WR Devante Adams, and RB Josh Jacobs went off again with 144 yards rushing with a rushing TD. QB Justin Herbert had two of his team’s three fumbles, his kicker missed a field goal, and one of their two TDs was intercepting Carr which was returned for a TD.

Cowboys 54-19 over the Colts: QB Dak Prescott had three passing TDs, RB Ezikeil Elliot had a rushing TD, RB Malik Davis had a rushing TD too, and RB Tony Pollard had two rushing TDS. QB Matt Ryan had two passing TDS but three interceptions and one of his team’s two fumbles with one returned for a TD.

Buccaneers 17-16 over the Saints: The Saints were leading 16-0 before QB Tom Brady led his team with two TD passes to complete the comeback win.
