Colts 45-30 over the Jets: QB Carson Wentz had three TD passes, RB Jonathan Taylor had two rushing TDs, and RB Nyheim Hines had a rushing TD. The Jets QB Mike White left off where he was the previous week with a TD pass but left the game with a forearm injury, and the 3rd string QB Josh Johnson did his best with three second half TD passes but threw an interception late in the 4th quarter to seal the game for the Colts.
Falcons 27-25 over the Saints: Backup QB Trevor Siemien did his best throwing two 4th quarter TD passes in a comeback attempt, but it wasn’t enough as the Falcons hit the game winning field goal as time expired. QB Matt Ryan had two TD passes and a rushing TD to help put the Falcons up 17-6 entering the fourth quarter.
Broncos 30-16 over the Cowboys: The Broncos went up 19-0 entering the 4th quarter and never looked back as QB Teddy Bridgewater had one passing and one rushing TD, plus RB Melvin Gordon had a rushing TD. The Cowboys didn’t score till nearly the end of the 4th quarter on two QB Dak Prescott TDs.
Patriots 24-9 over the Panthers: QB Sam Darnold had three interceptions with one being returned for a TD, zero TD passes and one of his team’s two fumbles. Which meant the Patriots offense didn’t have to do too much as QB Mac Jones had one passing TD and RB Damien Harris had a rushing TD.
Ravens 34-31 over the Vikings (OT): The Ravens hit the game winning field goal in overtime. QB Kirk Cousins had two passing and one rushing TD for the Vikings while QB Lamar Jackson had three passing TDs. RB Le’Veon Bell added a rushing TD for Baltimore and the Vikings had a 98 yard kick return TD.
Browns 41-16 over the Bengals: QB Baker Mayfield had two TD passes and RB Nick Chubb had two rushing TDs. The Browns defense forced four fumbles, had five sacks and picked off QB Joe Burrow twice, one being returned for a TD.
Jaguars 9-6 over the Bills: This was the game where the team with the least mistakes made came out on top as Jacksonville’s only mistakes were one fumble and one missed field goal. QB Josh Allen had two interceptions and one of his team’s two fumbles. LB Josh Allen had one of those interceptions, recovered one of those fumbles and sacked Allen once.
Dolphins 19-7 over the Texans: QB Tyrod Taylor came back from injury for the Texans where he threw zero TDs and three interceptions. Backup QB Jacoby Brissett wasn’t that much better with two interceptions, one of his team’s three fumbles for Miami, but had one passing TD and RB Miles Gaskin had one rushing TD.
Giants 23-16 over the Raiders: QB Derek Carr had two interceptions with one being returned for a TD, one of his team’s two fumbles, and the kicker missed a field goal. QB Daniel Jones had one TD pass.
Chargers 27-24 over the Eagles: The Chargers hit a game winning field goal as time expired. QB Justin Herbert had two passing TDs and a rushing TD. QB Jalen Hurts only had one TD pass, but two of his running backs had rushing TDs.
Chiefs 13-7 over the Packers: QB Jordan Love in his NFL debut had one interception, one fumble with one TD pass, but his kicker missed a field goal and one was blocked. While QB Patrick Mahomes had one TD pass with no turnovers.
Cardinals 31-17 over the 49ers: RB James Connor had two rushing TDs, caught one TD pass, plus the third stringer had a rushing TD to support backup QB Colt McCoy who had one passing TD. QB Jimmy Garoppolo did throw two TD passes, but he had one interception and his team had two fumbles.
Titans 28-16 over the Rams: QB Matthew Stafford had two interceptions with one being returned for a TD. In Derrick Henry’s absence newly signed RB Adrian Peterson had a rushing TD and QB Ryan Tannehill had a rushing TD to go with his passing TD.
Steelers 29-27 over the Bears: The Bears overcame an interception and a fumble to make a comeback attempt by overcoming a 14-3 deficit entering half time with two offensive TDs and a fumble recovery for a TD. It wasn’t enough as the Steelers held on by adding on three field goals in the 4th quarter and Chicago missed a potential game winning field goal as time expired.
