NFL Recap Week 9 2024:

 

Jets 21-13 over the Texans: The Jets outscored the Texans 14-3 in the quarter to complete the comeback. QB Aaron Rodgers had three TD passes, one to his new WR Davante Adams and two to Garrett Wilson. The only Houston TD was a rushing TD from RB Joe Mixon who had 106 yards.

Falcons 27-21 over the Cowboys: The Falcons were up 14-3 early and never looked back. QB Kirk Cousins had three TD passes and RB Tyler Allgeier had a rushing TD. QB Dak Prescott had one TD pass but left the game with a hamstring injury.

Bills 30-27 over the Dolphins: As time expired the Bills hit the game winning field goal to beat their divisional rival. QB Josh Allen had three passing TDs while QB Tua Tagovailola had two passing TDs with one going to RB De’Von Achane who also had a rushing TD.

Commanders 27-22 over the Giants: Washington was up 21-7 entering half time and never looked back as they beat their divisional rival both times this season. QB Jayden Daniels had two passing TDs with no turnovers. Even though QB Daniel Jones had two passing TDs with a rushing TD it was too much of a deficit to overcome.

Bengals 41-24 over the Raiders: QB Joe Burrow had five TD passes with two going to TE Mike Gesicki. Both QBs for the Raiders had fumbles and only passed for 157 yards total with one TD which was towards the end of the game when it didn’t matter. Now the only mistake Burrow had was an interception that was returned for a TD late.

Chargers 27-10 over the Browns: QB Jameis Winston fell back down to earth as he had three interceptions and a fumble plus his kicker missed a field goal. QB Justin Herbert had two passing TDs and RB JK Dobbins had two rushing TDs.

Titans 20-17 over the Patriots (OT): The Titans hit the game winning field goal in overtime to win. RB Rhamondre Stevenson had both a rushing and receiving TD for New England. There were five fumbles and three interceptions combined from both teams plus a missed field goal.

Panthers 23-22 over the Saints: The Panthers upset their divisional rival with a go-ahead rushing TD by Chuba Hubbard his second of the game. Even with QB Derek Carr back they only managed one TD which is what QB Bryce Young also had. Plus Taysom Hill had a rushing TD for the Saints.

Ravens 41-10 over the Broncos:  It was all Baltimore as RB Derrick Henry had 106 yards rushing with two rushing TDs, and QB Lamar Jackson had three TD passes with two to WR Zay Flowers. QB Bo Nix had zero TD passes with an interception but caught a TD pass by WR Courtland Sutton.

Cardinals 29-9 over the Bears: The Bears offense looked bad again as they had zero TDs with a fumble and they allowed a safety. Arizona had three rushing TDs with two coming from backup running backs and the other by a TE.

Lions 24-14 over the Packers: QB Jared Goff had only 1TD pass and RB Jahmyr Gibbs had a rushing TD for the Lions. QB Jordan Love had three fumbles and an interception which was returned for a TD with no TD passes. The only TD for Green Bay came towards the end of the game with a two-point conversion.

Eagles 28-23 over the Jaguars: The Eagles were up 22-0 early in the 3rd quarter and never looked back. QB Jalen Hurts had two passing TDs plus a rushing TD, and RB Saquon Barkley had a rushing TD and a receiving TD. QB Trevor Lawrence had zero TD passes with two interceptions but had two rushing TDs late.

Rams 26-20 over the Seahawks (OT):  QB Matthew Stafford threw the game winning TD in overtime to seal the victory over their divisional rival his second TD of the game. QB Geno Smith did have three TD passes for Seattle but he threw three interceptions but one was returned for a 103 yard return TD.

Vikings 21-13 over the Colts: The Colts were up 7-0 entering half time due to them recovering a fumble for a TD but then were outscored 21-6 to lose. QB Sam Darnold threw three TD passes for Minnesota. Three field goals were missed combined between both teams.

Chiefs 30-24 over the Buccaneers(OT): RB Kareem Hunt scored the game winning TD in overtime after the Buccaneers tied the game on a TD pass by QB Baker Mayfield, his second of the game. QB Patrick Mahomes had three TD passes with two to WR DeAndre Hopkins. The Chiefs are the 3rd team in NFL history with seven comeback wins in the 1st eight games of a season.
