The New York Yankees All-Time 25 Man Roster:

·         The Yankees were established as team in 1901 as the Baltimore Orioles because the Giants blocked their initial move when the AL started.
·         They moved to New York and became the Highlanders for ten seasons before coming the Yankees.
·         They got their name from a New York Press editor who coined the name Yanks because it was easier to fit in the headlines.
·         They play their games at Yankees Stadium which is located in Concourse, Bronx, New York City.
·         They have made the playoffs fifty five times with seven wild card berths and nineteen divisional titles.
·         They have won forty AL Pennants and twenty seven World Series Championships in 1923, 1927, 1928, 1932, 1936, 1937, 1938, 1939, 1941, 1943, 1947, 1949, 1950, 1951, 1952, 1953, 1956, 1958, 1961, 1962, 1977, 1978, 1996, 1998, 1999, 2000 & 2009.

Manager-Joe McCarthy
Joe McCarthy managed the Yankees for sixteen seasons where he finished with the most wins with 1460, was elected into the Hall of Fame in 1957 and is in the Yankees Hall of Fame. He guided them to eight AL Pennants and Seven World Series Championships in 1932, 1936, 1937, 1938, 1939, 1941 & 1943. He was the first manager to win a pennant in both leagues. 
Bench Coach-Joe Torre
Joe Torre managed the Yankees for twelve seasons where he finished with the second most wins with 1173, was elected into the Hall of Fame in 2014, is in the Yankees Hall of Fame and they retired his number 6. He guide them to two wild card berths, ten divisional titles, six AL Pennants and four World Series Championships in 1996, 1998, 1999 & 2000. He also won AL Manager of the Year twice. 
1B Coach-Casey Stangel
Casey Stangel managed the Yankees for twelve seasons where he finished with the third most wins with 1149, was elected into the Hall of Fame in 1966, is in the Yankees Hall of Fame and they retired his number 37. He guided them to ten AL Pennants and seven World Series Championships in 1949, 1950, 1951, 1952, 1953, 1956 & 1958. 
3B Coach-Miller Huggins
Miller Huggins managed the Yankees for twelve seasons where he finished with the fourth most wins with 1067, was elected into the Hall of Fame in 1964 and is in the Yankees Hall of Fame. He guided them to six AL Pennants and three World Series Championships in 1923, 1927 & 1928. 
Hitting Coach-Ralph Houk
Ralph Houk managed the Yankees for eleven seasons where he finished with the fifth most wins with 944. He guided them to three AL Pennants and two World Series Championships in 1961 & 1962. He also played eight seasons for them where he was on three World Series Championship teams in 1947, 1952 & 1953. He also was their GM and was the first base coach for one World Series Championship team in 1958. 
Pitching Coach-Clark Griffith
Clark Griffith managed the Yankees (Highlanders) for six seasons where he finished with the eight most wins with 419 and was elected into the Hall of Fame in 1946. He was a player-manager for them where he was the Yankees captain as a starting pitcher. 
Bullpen Coach-Joe Girardi
Joe Girardi managed the Yankees for ten seasons where he finished with the sixth most wins with 910. He guided them to three wild card berths, three divisional titles, one AL Pennant and one World Series Championship team in 2009. He also played four seasons behind the plate for them where he was on three World Series Championship teams in 1996, 1998 & 1999.

Babe Ruth spent fifteen seasons in the outfield for the Yankees as their greatest/longest tenured right fielder where he put up numbers that speak for themselves that got him elected into the Hall of Fame in 1936, is in the Yankees Hall of Fame and they retired his number 3. He made both of his All-Star appearances, won one batting title, led the AL in home runs ten times, led the AL in RBIs five times, won the 1923 AL MVP and was on four World Series Championship teams in 1923, 1927, 1928 & 1932 while there. Whitey Ford pitched sixteen seasons for the Yankees as their greatest pitcher where he put up numbers that speak for themselves that got him elected into the Hall of Fame in 1974, is in the Yankees Hall of Fame and they retired his number 16. He made all ten of his All-Star appearances, led the majors in ERA twice, led the AL in wins three times, won one CY Young Award, won one World Series MVP and was on six World Series Championship teams in 1950, 1953, 1956, 1958, 1961 & 1962 while there. Phil Rizzuto spent thirteen seasons in the infield for the Yankees as their second greatest/second longest tenured shortstop where he put up numbers that speak for themselves that got him elected into the Hall of Fame in 1994, is in the Yankees Hall of Fame and they retired his number 10. He made all five of his All-Star appearances, won the 1950 AL MVP and was on seven World Series Championship teams in 1941, 1947, 1949, 1950, 1951, 1952 & 1953 while there. He then worked forty seasons as a broadcaster for the Yankees on TV and radio. He also finished with the highest defensive WAR in Yankees history.  
Bill Dickey spent seventeen seasons behind the plate for the Yankees as their second greatest catcher where he put up numbers that speak for themselves that got him elected into the Hall of Fame in 1954, is in the Yankees Hall of Fame and they retired his number 8. He also finished with the second most saves, games finished and games played in Yankees history. 
Johnny Murphy was the Yankees closer for twelve seasons where he made all three of his All-Star appearances, led AL relief pitchers in wins seven times, led the AL in saves four times and was on seven World Series Championship teams in 1932, 1936, 1937, 1938, 1939, 1941 & 1943 while there. He also finished with the fourth most games finished, sixth most saves and tenth most games played in Yankees history. 
Mike Stanton was in the Yankees bullpen for seven seasons where he made his only All-Star appearance and was on three World Series Championship teams in 1998, 1999 & 2000 while there. He also finished with the fifth most games played in Yankees history.
