Bengals 24-21 over the
Jaguars:
The Bengals hit a field goal as time expired while QB Joe Burrow had two TD
passes and RB Joe Mixon had a rushing TD. QB Trevor Lawrence had no passing TDs
but had a rushing TD, and his RB James Robinson had two rushing TDs.
Jets 27-24 over the
Titans (OT): The Jets hit the go ahead field goal in overtime, while the
Titans missed one right after which spoiled the incredible game by RB Derrick
Henry who had 156 yards rushing with a rushing TD. Rookie QB Zach Wilson
improved though with two passing TDs for the Jets.
Chiefs 42-30 over the
Eagles:
QB Patrick Mahomes had five TD passes while QB Jalen Hurts had two TD passes.
WR Tyreek Hill caught three of Mahomes’s TD passes and both teams had rushing
TDs.
Cowboys 36-28 over the
Panthers:
QB Sam Darnold did have all four TDs for Carolina (two passing & two
rushing), but he had two interceptions and his kicker missed a field goal.
While QB Dak Prescott had four TD passes with no turnovers and RB Ezekiel
Elliot had a rushing TD.
Giants 27-21 over the
Saints (OT): RB Saquon Barkley looked like his old self with a game winning
rushing TD on top of his receiving TD. If QB Taysom Hill didn’t have two
rushing TDs this game might not have gone into overtime, plus the Saints missed
a field goal.
Browns 14-7 over the
Vikings:
In this game there were 13 punts and three turnovers on downs. QB Kirk Cousins
threw a TD to start off the scoring but trailed the rest of the game, and his 4th quarter interception
sunk them. RB Kareem Hunt had a rushing TD, the only TD for Cleveland.
Bears 24-14 over the
Lions:
QB Justin Fields only was sacked once in this game but had an interception and
a fumble. The running game saved them as RB David Montgomery had two rushing
TDs and Damien Williams had another rushing TD. QB Jared Goff had two passing
TDs but had three fumbles.
Bills 40-0 over the
Texans:
QB Josh Allen had two passing TDs, RB Zach Moss had a rushing TD, and backup QB
Mitchell Trubisky had a rushing TD. Texans QB David Mills had four
interceptions and the Texans had two fumbles.
Colts 27-17 over the
Dolphins:
The Dolphins scored first on a field goal but did not lead for the rest of the
game as the Colts outscored them 27-14 to close out the game. Both QBs had two
passing TDs in Carson Wentz and QB Jacoby Brissett.
Washington 34-30 over
the Falcons: QB Tyler Heinicke was clutch with two of his three TD passes
being in the fourth quarter to help his team come from behind and win.
Washington also returned a kick for 101 yards for a TD. While QB Matt Ryan had
four TD passes with three of those caught by WR Cordarrelle Patterson.
Seahawks 28-21 over the
49ers:
QB Russell Wilson had two passing TDs and a rushing TD, while QB Jimmy
Garoppolo had one TD but left the game with a calf injury. Rookie QB Trey Lance
came in and did his best with two passing TDs. The 49ers backup kicker missed a
field goal and an extra point.
Cardinals 37-20 over the
Rams: QB Kyler Murray had
two passing TDs and RB James Connor had two rushing TDs. QB Matthew Stafford
did also have two TD passes but had an interception, and his RB Sony
Michel had a fumble plus they missed a field goal.
Packers 27-17 over the
Steelers:
QB Aaron Rodgers had two passing TDs and a rushing TD, while QB Ben
Roethlisberger had one TD with an interception late in the 4th quarter and a fumble.
Ravens 23-7 over the
Broncos:
QB Teddy Bridgewater got the Broncos off to a nice start with a passing TD to
take the lead but left the game with a concussion. QB Lamar Jackson had one
passing TD and RB Latavius Murray had a rushing TD.
Buccaneers 19-17 over
the Patriots: In the QB Tom Brady bowl it was Brady’s new team that came out
on top despite his off day. Brady had no passing TDs as they relied on their
kicker for 13 of their 19 points. Rookie QB Mac Jones did have two TD passes
but had an interception and his team had one fumble.
Chargers 28-14 over the Raiders: QB Justin Herbert threw three TD passes to put his team up 21-0 at halftime. QB Derek Carr did his best to overcome his two turnovers(one interception and one fumble of the two the team had) but it was little too late with his two TD passes and his kicker missed a field goal.
