Buccaneers 28-22 over
the Eagles:
The Buccaneers were up 21-7 entering halftime and never looked back thanks to
QB Tom Brady throwing two TD passes and RB Leonard Fournette having one of his
two rushing TDs in the first half. QB Jalen Hurts did his best to come back
from one interception and his team missing a field goal with one passing TD and
two rushing TDs, but it wasn’t enough.
Jaguars 23-20 over the
Dolphins:
The battle of two Florida teams-but in London had Jacksonville get their first
win of the season with a game tying and a game winning field goal. QB Trevor
Lawrence had one TD pass and RB James Robinson had a rushing TD. Miami got QB
Tua Tagovailoa back from injury and he had two passing TDs, both to WR Jaylen
Waddle.
Chiefs 31-13 over
Washington:
QB Patrick Mahomes had two TD passes and RB Darrel Williams had two rushing
TDs. Washington had a fumble, an interception, and a missed field goal, only
being able to get one TD.
Rams 38-11 over the
Giants:
QB Matthew Stafford had four TDs and RB Darrell Henderson had a rushing TD and
caught one of those TD passes. Returning from a concussion QB Daniel Jones had
no TD passes, three interceptions and two fumbles. Their only TD came on a
rushing TD by their 3rd string RB Elijhaa Penny.
Colts 31-3 over the
Texans:
QB Carson Wentz had two passing TDs and RB Jonathan Taylor had two rushing TDs.
Rookie QB David Mills had no passing TDs with two interceptions and RB David
Johnson had a fumble.
Bengals 34-11 over the
Lions:
QB Joe Burrow had three passing TDs and his backup Brandon Allen had a TD pass
too. QB Jared Goff had no passing TDs with an interception, and their only TD
was a rushing TD by D’Andre Swift.
Packers 24-14 over the
Bears:
The Bears went up 7-0 to start the game but everything went downhill after. QB
Justin Fields threw an interception and the Bears let QB Aaron Rodgers throw
two passing TDs and one rushing TD. Rookie RB Khalil Herbert had the Bears
first TD, his first career TD.
Ravens 34-6 over the
Chargers:
The Ravens had three rushing TDs by Devonta Freeman, Latavius Murray and
Le’Veon Bell all running backs that they got off the street which helped
overcome QB Lamar Jackson’s one TD but two interception day. All the Chargers
could muster up was one TD by QB Justin Herbert, but he had an interception
plus they missed an extra point.
Vikings 34-28 over the
Panthers
(OT): After missing the game winning field goal (one of two) in the 4th quarter the Vikings
rallied in overtime as QB Kirk Cousins threw the game winning TD pass. Cousins
had three total TD passes and RB Dalvin Cook had a rushing TD. QB Sam Darnold
only had one passing TD, his backup RB Chunba Hubbard had a rushing TD (his
first career TD), and his team blocked a punt which was returned for a TD.
Cardinals 37-14 over the
Browns:
QB Kyler Murray had four TD passes, no interceptions but four fumbles, while QB
Baker Mayfield only had two TD passes with an interception and two fumbles.
Raiders 34-24 over the
Broncos:
In the aftermath of Jon Gruden’s email fiasco leading to his resignation, QB
Derek Carr had two passing TDs, and both of the RBS Josh Jacobs and Kenyan
Drake had a rushing TD (caught one of those passing TDs). Their defense did
give QB Teddy Bridgewater three TD passes but they picked him off three times
with two coming in the 4th quarter, plus forced him to fumble once.
Cowboys 35-29 over the
Patriots
(OT): QB Dak Prescott led his team to the game tying field goal and threw the
game winning TD pass in overtime. Prescott had three TD passes, two to WR
CeeDee Lamb. QB Mac Jones had two TD passes but threw his one interception
which was returned for a TD in the 4th quarter.
Steelers 23-20 over the
Seahawks
(OT): The Seahawks fought their way back to tie the game with a field goal as
time expired but then fumbled the ball away in overtime, which led to the
Steelers game winning field goal in overtime. Backup QB Geno Smith did his best
with a passing TD and backup RB Alex Collins had a rushing TD to help the
comeback that got them to overtime. QB Ben Roethlisberger had one passing TD
and TE Eric Ebron had a rushing TD.
Titans 34-31 over the Bills: It was all RB Derrick
Henry who had 143 yards rushing with three rushing TDs with one being the go
ahead score in the 4th quarter. QB Josh Allen kept his team ahead
for a good chunk of the game with three passing TDs and he caught a two-point
conversion but failed to convert on 4th down sealing the game.
