NFL Recap Week 3 2023:

 

49ers 30-12 over the Giants: The Giants offense again looked enemic with only points coming from kicker Graham Gano/backup RB Matt Brieda had a rushing TD and QB Daniel had an interception. QB Brock Purdy had two TD passes and RB Christian McCaffrey had a rushing TD.

Browns 27-3 over the Titans: QB Deshaun Watson had two passing TDs and backup RB Jerome Ford had a rushing TD for the Browns. While QB Ryan Tannehill had zero TD passes for Tennessee.

Lions 20-6 over the Falcons: QB Jared Goff had a passing TD and rushing TD while QB Desmond Ridder had zero TD passes with a fumble. The Falcons also missed a field goal too.

Packers 18-17 over the Saints: The Packers were held scoreless until they scored 18 unanswered points and the Saints missed a field goal towards the end. QB Jordan Love did it all by himself with a rushing and a passing TD. The Saints did have a 76 yard punt return for a TD.

Texans 37-17 over the Jaguars: Kicker Ka’imi Fairbain accounted for 13 of their points, while rookie QB CJ Stroud had two passing TDs and RB Damien Pierce had a rushing TD. Houston’s defense blocked a field goal, forced a fumble and picked off QB Trevor Lawrence. Plus they got a 85 yard punt return for a TD.

Dolphins 70-20 over the Broncos: QB Tua Tagovailoa threw 4 TD passes and his backup QB also threw a TD pass. Their rookie RB Devon Achane had two rushing TDs/caught two TD pass and RB Raheem Mostert had three rushing TDs/caught a TD pass. QB Russell Wilson had a one passing TD but an interception, two team fumbles and the only good thing was a 99 yard kick return TD.

Chargers 28-24 over the Vikings: In this close QB dual between QB Kirk Cousins(3 TD passes) and QB Justin Herbert(3 TD passes) the biggest play was Cousins throwing an interception late. Plus WR Keenan Allen who had 215 yards receiving threw a TD pass.

Patriots 15-10 over the Jets: This divisional game had 16 punts, two missed field goals, and safety combined between both teams. QB Mac Jones did have one TD pass.

Bills 37-3 over the Commanders: QB Josh Allen did throw an interception but had a passing TD with a rushing TD and RB Latavius Murray had a rushing TD. QB Sam Howell had four interceptions with one being returned for a TD.

Colts 22-19 over Ravens(OT): In a surprising manner Justin Tucker missed a field goal that could have won the game in regulation and the Colts hit a game winning field goal in overtime. Kicker Matt Gay accounted for 16 of their points as backup QB Gardner Minshew did his best to keep them in the game with one TD pass. QB Lamar Jackson had no passing TDs but did have two rushing TDs.

Seahawks 37-27 over the Panthers: In spite of strong play by QB Andy Dalton(backup) who had two TD passes with one in the 4th quarter it wasn’t enough in their comeback bid. RB Kenneth Walker for Seattle ran all over the Panthers for two rushing TDs.

Cardinals 28-16 over the Cowboys: The Cardinals upset the Cowboys as QB Josh Dobbs outplayed QB Dak Prescott. Dobbs had no turnovers with a TD and the team had two rushing TDs. While Prescott had only one TD pass but threw a costly turnover towards the end of the game.

Chiefs 41-10 over the Bears: QB Patrick Mahomes had three TD passes and both RBS had rushing TDs. QB Justin Fields had a 99 yards passing with an interception and only one TD pass. The game was so out of hand that backup QB Blaine Gabbert had time to throw two interceptions for KC.

Steelers 23-18 over the Raiders: Vegas scored the 1st TD but wouldn’t score till the 4th quarter and QB Jimmy Garoppolo had three interceptions between those two TD passes. QB Kenny Pickett had two passing TDs.

Eagles 25-11 over the Buccaneers: In spite of two interceptions by QB Jalen Hurts the Eagles controlled the ball for 18 more minutes. D’Andre Swift had 130 yards rushing and Hurts had both a passing and rushing TD.

Bengals 19-16 over the Rams: 11 punts, three interceptions and one missed field goal between the two of them. QB Joe Burrow made less mistakes then QB Matthew Stafford which was the difference.
