NFL Recap Week 5 2022:

Colts 12-9 over the Broncos (OT): Both QBs had zero interceptions with two interceptions and a combined three fumbles. All of the points were scored by the kickers on field goals as the Colts kicker kicked the go ahead field goal and the Broncos offense couldn’t score anything to end the game.

It was all the RBs that scored for Cleveland as Nick Chubb had two rushing TDs and Kareem Hunt had the other.

Texans 13-6 over the Jaguars: QB Trevor Lawrence had zero TD passes with two interceptions and the other QB Davis Mills also had no TD passes, a typical AFC south game. RB Damien Pierce had the only TD of the game.

Jets 40-17 over the Dolphins: The Jets ran all over Miami as QB Zach Wilson, WR Braxton Barrios, RB Breece Hall had rushing TDs, and RB Michael Carter had two rushing TDs. They also got two points from intentional grounding in the end zone from Miami for a safety. The Dolphins just didn’t lose the game they lost their backup QB Teddy Bridgewater to a concussion after the previous week losing QB Tua Tagovailoa to a concussion, so rookie 7th round pick Skylar Thompson had to play.

Patriots 29-0 over the Lions: QB Jared Goff had no TD passes with an interception and a fumble that was returned for a TD, while 3rd string rookie QB Bailey Zappe had a one passing TD.

Vikings 29-22 over the Bears: The Vikings led 21-10 early and never looked back as RB Dalvin Cook had two rushing TDs and QB Kirk Cousins had one passing and one rushing TD. The Bears had a chance to tie or win the game but fumbled the ball away to end the game.

Cowboys 22-10 over the Rams: The Cowboys defense blocked a punt, picked off QB Matthew Stafford once while also forcing two fumbles where they returned one and the Rams missed a field goal.

Eagles 20-17 over the Cardinals: QB Jalen Hurts showed he was the better QB as he had two early rushing TDs compared to QB Kyler Murray throwing an early interception. Arizona played catch up the whole game but wasn’t enough as they missed the game tying field goal late.

49ers 37-15 over the Panthers: The 49ers looked good on both sides of the ball as QB Jimmy Garoppolo had two passing TDs, and both of his RBs had rushing TDs with Jeff Wilson having 120 yards rushing and RB Tevin Coleman also catching one of those TD passes. QB Baker Mayfield had zero TD passes with an interception that was returned for a TD and their kicker missed a field goal.

Buccaneers 21-15 over the Falcons: Tampa Bay was up 21-0 entering the 4th quarter as Atlanta did everything in their power to win with 15 points but it wasn’t enough. They punted six times and missed their only field goal attempt. RB Leonard Fournette had both TDs for Tampa Bay.

Saints 39-32 over the Seahawks: This was the one game QB Taysom Hill goes off which he did with a passing TD and three rushing TDs one coming late in the 4th. QB Geno Smith is still surprising us all with his great play of three passing TDs two to WR DK Metcalf but he wasn’t as special as Hill was today.

Bills 38-3 over the Steelers: No matter who is the QB for the Steelers their offense has looked lost and today was the most lost they have been as no TD passes, two missed field goals, a fumble and QB Kenny Pickett had an interception. QB Josh Allen had four TD passes.

Ravens 19-17 over the BengalsThe Ravens hit the game winning field goal after QB Joe Burrow ran for a TD after already throwing one in the game. Outside of one TD for the Ravens all of their points came from kicker Justin Tucker.

Chief 30-29 over the Raiders: Kansas City came back from a 17 point deficit to beat their divisional rival. QB Patrick Mahomes had four TD passes all to TE Travis Kelce. QB Derek Carr did have two TD passes both to WR Devante Adams but they failed to convert on a two-point conversion.
